A question regarding ONS household surveys

Posted by Alex

OAC coding of ONS household surveys is dependent on user demand.

Three ONS household surveys either have plans to add OAC to 2008 datasets or already have OAC on datasets. They are: the Expenditure and Food Survey, the English Housing Survey and the Family Resource Survey.

Of the other ONS household surveys please rank the following that you as a user think are a priority as 1, 2 and 3:

* Labour Force Survey
* General Household Survey
* Omnibus
* Household Assets Survey
* IHS outputs

Please respond either manually by writing email to martin.robson@lbhf.gov.uk with your top 3 ranked ONS household surveys or please respond by clicking this link to an online questionnaire

Please respond by Friday 24 October and your results will then be forwarded to the OAC contact at ONS.

  • The Output Area Classification

    The Output Area Classification (OAC) distills key results from the Census for the whole of the UK to indicate the character of local areas.

    It profiles populations, structures other data, and helps target resources. OAC is in the public domain, and the User Group supports and promotes its use as geodemography open to all.
