OAC information exchange – a meeting to share users’ experiences
OAC information exchange – a meeting to share users’ experiences
Tuesday 18 September 2007, Royal Statistical Society
Making OAC work
As part of a focus on applications for OAC, this half day meeting will provide an opportunity to share experiences of using OAC, at any stage from initial ideas to finished study.
The event will be on Tuesday 18 September at 13.30 to around 16.15, with registration and coffee from 13,00, in the Council Chamber of the Royal Statistical Society, 12 Erroll Street, London EC1Y 6LX.
The programme will have an opening presentation on the latest developments on OAC, with participants then joining small groups for information exchange, coming together in a concluding session to discuss priorities for action.
- themes will be chosen to meet users’ stated interests, but could include application of OAC at local level, applications in business, or use in health research
- the meeting is not a training session as such – there is now much more on ‘getting started‘ here – and all participants will be encouraged to make active contributions
- contributions based on work in progress, even at formative stages, will be welcome, as well as experiences from published studies
- discussion in each group will be facilitated by experts from the OAC User Group.
Intending participants are invited to provide a brief outline of their activity with OAC, also mentioning any topics which could be addressed in the User Group and would particularly help use of OAC. This information will help decide the themes and organisation for the day
There is no charge for the event, but places are limited, and early registration is strongly advised.
To book a place please contact Martin Robson, including a brief outline of your activity with OAC. Reservations will be confirmed, with more details of the programme, and further information is available from Martin.
